I am a qualified counsellor, and registered qualified Social Worker. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work and Psychotherapy, post masters training and licensure in Georgia in the USA.
In addition to the wide variety of issues brought to counselling, I have worked for the past 10 years specifically in the areas of Childhood Sexual Abuse and Rape. I have extensive training and client experience with these issues.
I am an intergative therapist, drawing from the vast array of psychological theories and practices. I am completely client focused and work in the "here and now". I consider my approach to be most in line with that of a cognitive therapist.
I am a sraightforward, clear thinking person and this comes through quite clearly in my work with clients.
I have recently added supervision to my practice and have experience in this area in a variety of settings. I am looking forward to continuing to expand this area of my work.
